November 15, 2017
The Boston Software Systems team is excited for the new healthcare automation projects that 2017 will bring. It is shaping up to be a robust year of demand for our robotic process automation (RPA), EHR platform migration, and data optimization services from new and established hospital / health system clients. November’s strong sales growth was punctuated with the addition of a sizable and well-established east coast health system embarking on a large scale McKesson to Cerner EHR platform migration.
The prominent healthcare provider organization is comprised of 3 hospitals, comprehensive cancer treatment center, numerous multi-specialty health centers and more than 150 patient care access points. As a leading health system, it features over 1,100 physicians, a broad spectrum of specialties and features an ACO within its operating structure.
One of the first RPA / EHR platform migration automations to be developed involves the migration of over 20,000 patient appointment files. It will require a series of over 30 steps to collect, organize, transfer and optimize data –resulting in significantly improved workflows and healthcare information system ROI while increasing the productivity of clinician and administrative staff. Patient appointment and corresponding EHR data are ideal for RPA-driven platform migration applications. Data will be transferred quickly and economically; accuracy will be reinforced via ongoing evaluation and reporting of all exceptions. Patient / clinician / procedure / facility scheduling data will be transformed to enable the client to deliver higher levels of advanced care at less cost.
The client is eager to move forward with this project and collaborate further with Boston Software Systems on additional large scale RPA / EHR platform migration projects moving forward in 2018.
