Boston Software Systems Announces Winners of its Customer Excellence Award

March 18, 2015

Boston Software Systems, the leader in error-free automation and migration platform technology for every healthcare application, today named Julie Lewis, manager patient financial services at Houston Methodist Hospital and Sarkis Yagoubian, consultant with CVS Health winners of Boston Software Systems’ Customer Excellence Award. This honor recognizes the company’s customers for their successful and innovative use of the healthcare automation platform, Boston WorkStation®.

As manager of patient financial services at Houston Methodist Hospital, Julie Lewis saw an opportunity to automate the verification of Medicare outpatient accounts. Using Boston Software Systems’ automation platform to mimic the manual verification process, Lewis’ team has become more efficient and more confident in the verification process. “Their experience with Epic will be invaluable to us as we begin the EMR migration to that system, Lewis said. We’ll be looking for opportunities to use automation to assist in that transition.”

At CVS Health, Sarkis Yagoubian is using Boston Software Systems’ automation platform, Boston WorkStation, to automate workflow involved in the on-boarding of new MinuteClinics. With the company’s commitment to rapid growth of these retail clinics, manually processing this work was costing the organization valuable time and inaccuracies. “The automation only took about 20 hours to develop and test and now it’s saving us 30-40 hours each time we run it, said Yagoubian. “Any time I have an issue, I call the support line and Boston Software Systems is very quick to help – we don’t get stuck in any downtime. We are constantly looking for new ways to automate manual processes.”

“The winners of this year’s Customer Excellence Award are excellent examples of how Boston Software Systems’ customers are automating critical processes throughout their organizations while saving significant amounts of staff time and realizing unprecedented ROI,” said Sara McNeil, president of Boston Software Systems. “We have focused our business on providing workflow automation technology to hospitals and partners and have seen tremendous growth with our automation platform and active data quality service. As these customers have demonstrated, optimizing workflow throughout an organization can provide significant financial savings. We are proud to partner with our customers in getting the most value from our automation platforms, controlling costs and maximizing productivity.”
